Vanguardia at the Formula One Grand Prix

November 2012

During the F1 Grand Prix held in Abu Dhabi in November 2012, Vanguardia captured the sound energy propagating from the circuit to form the basis of an acoustic model.

Vanguardia have developed a unique modelling process to accurately determine long noise propagation from race circuits, which includes the dynamics of the cars' acceleration and deceleration characteristics. The measurements taken allow a detailed acoustic model to be constructed to assess the areas most affected by noise from the circuit and provide the designers with critical information for successful development in this exclusive up and coming entertainment district.

The motorsport modelling for this event follows several other related projects where Vanguardia have played a key role.
